In reply to: Why RSS with Thunderbird is so slow? Thanks for your info. I work in an organization using email for communication, but we have so much emails that now we create a blog for our group communication. The blog was relatively new for our group so not many people check that blog. Later, I find out that we can set an account in Thunderbird for blog, so whenever we check our email we can also check our blog. The problem is, it hasn’t come as fast as we expected. The posts will comes after 3-4 hours later. Since the default for the feeder is 100 minutes, I thought maybe it will come faster if I change into 2 minutes. (that’s my silly logic).
You mention : “As far as WordPress goes, the feed is built in real time (unless you’re using a caching system of some kind). So the feed is always up-to-date. The instant you make the post, it appears in the feed”
Does it mean that the posts is in the feeder but it will appear in our thunderbird account after certain time? not right away? If everybody in our group set the time into 100 minutes (as the default is), is it better?
I notice that the live bookmark pick right away the post but not our thunderbird account.
Please let me know. Thanks!!Forum: Fixing WordPress
