In reply to: [(Simply) Guest Author Name] Not working on AMP pagesWe have found that we can make the premium plugin work with JNEWS with some extensive customization (https://www.plugins.shooflysolutions.com/guest-author-name/knowledge-base/compatibility-issues/). Although JNEWS is an excellent theme, it is not compatible with the guest author plugin out of the box and is not easy to customize due to it’s unique coding style. I will take a look a the information that was sent to me to see if I can resolve this issue easily.

Just to make it clear that this is an issue with the TagDiv page builder which is inconsistent in the way that it retrieves the author and special code needed to be written to handle TagDiv specifically.

Generally this plugin is not going to work well with TagDiv. I’ve looked at their code and it’s not consistent in how they retrieve author information. I’ve been in touch with them about the issue and I think that they fixed the single post but I’ve had to do a lot of work to get the premium version cloud modules work with TagDiv but I may not have hit all of the functions.

The free plugin does not work with the divi theme. The divi theme does not use the WordPress filter hooks that are required. The premium plugin has shortcode you can insert instead for the author.

In reply to: [Media from FTP] It worksI changed it to 50 yesterday. I still only got 20 items. And every time, I process 20 items, I don’t get a new page. I have to go and reload again. Sometimes nothing loads at all, I think this is likely due to memory issues on the server and I have to wait and then go back and do 20 more. SO I can’t paginate and I can’t load more than 20 items at a time.

I’m not sure why this is happening. Could you post your shortcode?

If I understand correctly, you want to load a page with the content already filtered.
I’m not completely sure but you could try using css transitions. Feel free to send me more details and I can help you out with the javascript.

It sounds like the author box is the issue. Are you using a Divi module for the author box?
Could you try using another author box, perhaps one that has shortcode or Divi compatable module and see if the problem persists?
Unfortunately, not all authorboxes are coded in the same way. This plugin uses default WordPress hooks to replace the author name.

The ‘Getting Started’ list won’t help you very much with the free plugin. I haven’t tested this with DIVI. Can you email me at support@shooflysolutions.com with more details? What isn’t working. Is the guest author name not displaying in the metadata? Is the guest author not displaying in the author box?
