In reply to: [Featured Image Pro Post Grid] Unable to get shortcode generator to workHi,
This 5.7 update is a killer. Please try the new update and let me know. I still have some new issues to fix.

In reply to: [Featured Image Pro Post Grid] Unable to get shortcode generator to workI am not able to duplicate this. What browser are you using?
Do you know how to view the console in the inspector? In chrome, right click/inspector. When it opens up, click on the console ta.
Do this right after clicking ‘generate shortcode’ and if you can, look for an error in red, copy and paste what is in the console and send it to me at adrian@shooflysolutions.com

In reply to: [Featured Image Pro Post Grid] Unable to get shortcode generator to workIf you don’t enter anything, it won’t do anything.
I will take a look at it. I think that the short code generator in the widget will work for basic stuff in the meantime.

In reply to: [Featured Image Pro Post Grid] Unable to get shortcode generator to workHi, interesting as I saw this two versions ago and presumably fixed it. Can you tell me which options you are trying to set? It might be a JavaScript issue that is caused by one of the options.

In reply to: [Featured Image Pro Post Grid] Known Issues with WP 5.7The widget issue has been resolved. The block editor issue persists but in my case, the post does get saved in spite of the message. Please refer to the links that I posted above for support on this issue. Using the classic editor or a classic block will resolve the issue.

In reply to: [Featured Image Pro Post Grid] Known Issues with WP 5.7I like the idea of creating a staging site before updating but that can be expensive for the client.
Old school html sites are just fine for static sites that don’t have a lot of content changes or fancy bells and whistles…or blogs. I actually told someone to use Squarespace the other day.
I believe that the end goal for the block editor was to replace all of those bloated site builders that we rely on to get our sites up and running quickly. The theory is that a block editor that works well would reduce bloat and make sites faster.

In reply to: [Featured Image Pro Post Grid] Known Issues with WP 5.7I agree. I have been dreading this update, I had to test all of my plugins well in advance of this release and did not have these issues until the actual release came out.
Over the weekend, I have to update my client sites. I am considering waiting until the next update.

In reply to: [Featured Image Pro Post Grid] Known Issues with WP 5.7Thank up!. It may be a jQuery issue that I missed combined with 5.7. I will keep trying to resolve it.

In reply to: [Featured Image Pro Post Grid] Known Issues with WP 5.7Yes, it appears to be a global issue. I don’t use the block editor on client sites unless the client really wants one.
The 5.7 upgrade was always going to be a mess. It is no longer compatible with backdated versions of jQuery and a lot of plugins are not going to be updated. I did my best to update the plugin, but the widget issue has me stumped. I will do my best to address it over the weekend.
There *is* a plugin that will make 5.7 backwards compatible again. It’s listed in this article about the changes below.

In reply to: [Featured Image Pro Post Grid] Plugin has stopped working on WordPress 5.6Please check with your host regarding the jQuery issue, hopefully they can figure it out.
Are you using the block editor? Did you place the shortcode into a shortcode block?
