  • Oh i didn’t realize i need to use pastebin… here is the url:
    http://pastebin.com/SkLRwbmj

so, do I just copy and paste this into a file and label the file something like changediv.static

This is exactly how it looks on my htacess file.

    Hi rritoch,
I’m having the same situation. However, is there an example somewhere of how one must enter the virus definition? It’s a hack that keeps rewriting my htacces file. And it keeps forcing redirection to it’s page.

I’ve copied and pasted it here. Somehow this hack began right after I updated WordPress to 3.3.1 My template does not use timthumb.

    Thank you for any response…

Selcyis thank you so much for this forum 🙂 I was able to read through the different threads and figure out what I needed to do. ( I was having the same problems. Thumbnails…main image photos not showing etc…)

Since all the answers are around on the forum people…I will try my best to do a basic step by step list.

    1) LOGO: Anyone who wants to change the logo. Delete the one that came in the ephoto images file (note file extension) Make a new one and save as logo.png. Because i host on godaddy I used the file manager. I deleted the logo inside the file. and simply uploaded a new one into the same file, i gave it the same name logo.png. And thats all

2)THUMBNAILS: Theres no way around it. You have to change file permission on the
file called cache that came with ephoto. I used Filezilla (free ftp software) to do this. Once I logged on to the hosting server…i went to the ephoto theme file, located the cache file. Highlight and click the folder and you’ll see 3 files inside. Since I use a mac, I pressed alt and right click on each file to change permission. If you use windows i think all you have to do is right click. Anyway, a tiny drop down menu shows up and i went to “change file permission”. you’ll note the file permission is 666, well, now change it to 777 for each one.

    3) MAIN PHOTO: Now, go to your admin panel in wordpress. Go to “post” go to “categories” click add new. Make one called “Featured Articles” make sure spelling is correct, including the capital letters for F and A. Do not put anything in slug..it generates an automatic slug.

    4) UPLOADING PICTURE: So after you’ve written your post, now you want to upload your picture to go with it right? Click Icon for upload photo. You’ll see 3 options 1) From computer 2) from URL 3) Media Library You’ll choose any of these depending on where your photo you want to use is located. Once your photo is uploaded click save and then “show” and copy the url link to your picture. Close box. the scroll down past the text box of your new post to where it says “custom fields”
and where it says “NAME” enter the word “Thumbnail” make sure it has a capital T.
Then in the Value field you are going to paste the url link to the photo. Last but not least, you will assign the category. Go to the menu on the right side bar menu to where it says category and click “Featured Articles” and whatever other category you wish to assign.

And thats it. Your home page should display everything! The main photo and the Thumbnails! And your logo!

    Forum: Plugins
    In reply to: Login redirect

I just downloaded and installed peters login redirect. Except in my case…it has disconfigured something. No sooner than I unpacked it…my site gives me a 500 Internal Server Error. I called Go Daddy support. They guy told me to use an FTP client and remove that file from the plugins folder..then he added ” I can’t gaurantee that will fix your problem”—So now…I’m even a little freaked to remove that file b/c what if it worsens the problem? What do I do? Is it ok to remove this file from the plugins folder? Will this restore my site? http://www.rumbamix.tv
Thank you kindly to anyone who answers me 🙂
    Nix

The same thing happened to me… and I get a 500 Internal Server Error. ( the site address is Rumbamix.tv)
Somehow my plugin was not deactivated. I installed it…and poof! Just like that it
I host w/ go Daddy and they told me to go into the plugins file using an FTP client and remove that file. I have’nt yet….I’m afraid to. Will removing this plugin file called Peters-login-redirect have any further consequences?! Can I just remove this file?!
