In reply to: [Broken Link Checker] Plugin says all HTTPS links are brokenThat my friend is the answer!
All I needed to do was:
apt-get install php5-curlThe page you reference “Settings > Link Checker > General” I simply don’t remember existing back when I installed this module – hopefully now no one will struggle with it!
Thanks for posting!
@larsbachmann – interesting theory. How would I go about testing this? I don’t actually have many plugins installed so I guess one way would be to deactivate each of them and test. I still don’t understand how another plugin could conflict with this one though – its not like it is completely broken. Just not working for https links.
@jeffvand – What do you mean by domain mapping? I only have a single site on my wordpress installation. How would I test your certificate theory?
I keep meaning to look at the source code for the plugin and see if I can work out what is causing it. If I do and I work something out I will post my patch. I doubt I will get a chance to do this for several weeks though so feel free to step in first. It seems the developer of this plugin either hasn’t seen this thread or doesn’t care.
Did anyone ever get anywhere with this? I can confirm that I still have problems with all my “https” links. I would love to get this problem resolved so I am willing to provide any evidence or testing as required.
Thanks!
Hello again.
I was reminded about this because I see there is a new version out. Unsurprisingly because it wasn’t in the changelog it is still a problem.
Is there some extra information I can provide or a way to debug this at all?
Thanks in advance!
