Thx for yout help. Maybe I wasn’t clear enough, the problem is not theme related, it persists on every theme I try.
I can’t modify only the page that is selected as “posts page” even with the standard editor from wordpress.

You were so kind. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find the right spot to put the php code (I’m a newbie and the template file folder is complex for me), and the settings changes didn’t help too.
But thx to an update from the theme’s creators now it’s possible to choose a custom slider directly from the graphic interface (as in the pic below).
Put slider in Zerif Lite
