In reply to: /wp-admin/upgrade.php opens a blank pageIssue is solved. From my backup (WP 2.7.1) I dragged the following files over to my root folder:
* wp-config.php
* htacccessFor some reason I had also erased my K2 theme – I simply dragged it from my backup directly into the wp-content/themes folder. And it works!
Lessons learned – backups are very useful! The 5min-install just never worked with me.

My blog displays a blank page, where as I can now enter my dashboard. It must have someting to do with the config-file, but I have no idea what it could be…/Nevin

Fixed. Basically, it was the wp-config.php file being fussy. I’m not sure exactly what it was, because I change a few things in one go. But I think it was because Notepad put an extra line break in where it shouldn’t have been.
Go check that file again. Download a new copy of WordPress and edit that wp-config file.

I tried to update the config.file as stupler wrote. I could then enter my dashboard via the login-page, BUT all my posts and files were gone! So now I am back to the ‘old’ config-file and I can enter my dashboard via the comments-link.I understand that the problem is the config-file, but I am still puzzled about exactly WHAT I have to change in that file.
Can anyone help?

I upgraded from 2.3.1 to 2.5 and I have the same problem accessing my admin via wp-login. When I login I just get a blank page.
I got a comment on one of my articles from a user and I am now able to access the admin via my email with the comment link. And when I login via that link WP 2.5 works fine! But I still can’t access via the wp-login.
Maybe you should try to send a reply on one of your articles and see if you can at least access your admin?
I really don’t know what to do or where to look for an answer for this issue…

In reply to: Upgrading to 2.5 is a disasterI upgraded from WP 2.3.1 (I think!) to 2.5 and I had the following problem. The blog appeared as expected, but when I tried to login as admin – a blank page appeared!
The problem is the same as the user describes in this forum:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/129710There is an answer from another user, but I do not understand what he actually means or what the problem is – Does he mean that I should go through the installation process again as I did here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress
When I tried to re-install my backup, it just worked the other way around – the blog page was blank, but I could access as admin!
I have tried to find an answer in the support fora, but nothing that really gives an answer…
