@ericlewis that works perfectly (especially with Ottos PHP Code Widget plugin). But the problem is that it will confuse your site users to think the Twitter login doesn’t work. Because when you use that button, it takes the user to the wp-login screen and has a red error message”ERROR: Twitter user not recognized.”
This seems to be because the way it’s coded is that the user first has to login the normal way, then go to their profile and connect their twitter account.
It works well, but it’s deceiving because it leads us to believe activating this feature in STC will give us an actual login button for our users, but in fact it does not do that as RPX, etc would do.
Any input Otto?
@otto sorry about that, looks like you already had the Twitter follow button in your STC package. Thanks!
Too bad there is a problem with SimplePress forums that is still unsolved. There is a thread about it in their forums as well. SFC works just fine, but as you’ve said in the past, the code should basically be the same between SFC and STC. It’s just mind boggling why one works and the other doesn’t.
Hi Otto! Yes, I would but there is a problem with Simple Twitter Connect and Simple Press Forums.
STC does not have the follow button that TP-Tweetpress has… can you create one like it to add to your package in the next update?

In reply to: [P2] [Theme: P2] Is there a way to make all new posts pending? For example, as if they were moderated like comments or the way contributor accounts work… So that new posts aren’t automatically made public until an admin approves it.

In reply to: [Facebook Likes it!] [Plugin: Facebook Likes it!] manual placementPiotr Sochalewski are you still updating this plugin? I could no longer find it in the repository and your site seems to be unavailable. What’s up? It’s a great plugin and works perfectly (other than the lack of being able to have manual placement). Hope you are still around. Thanks

In reply to: [Plugin: Facebook Comments for WordPress] Conflict with Facebook Fan Box!Very strange. Fan box is working on posts but not on the main page. Does this have anything to do with some meta info that may not be loading on the index page but is present on single.php thanks to the Facebook Comments putting it there?
PS – SFC Fan Box is active but SFC is deactivated.

In reply to: P2 theme and titles when creating postsActually I am not seeing any titles on your “posts” posts.
What do you mean by commonality? What exactly are you trying to do?

In reply to: RSS FEEDDo you mean the RSS icon in the location field of your browser? Or on your theme?

In reply to: [P2] Default post type as "Blog Post"Do you want the last word, Chip? lol ok go ahead. Have the last word.
Thanks for all the help big guy!

In reply to: [P2] Default post type as "Blog Post"Chip, please stop filling up this thread with useless nonsense. You made your point, now please be quiet so myself and others can hopefully get an answer to this question.
And as much as Matt and the Automattic team touts P2, it would be nice to see some support for problems users are experiencing. Problems that make portions of the theme almost unusable.
Stop trolling this thread. Thanks.

In reply to: [P2] Default post type as "Blog Post"Clearly nothing is getting resolved in these threads because mods are too busy moving posts around instead of answering questions. If you guys want us to post P2 questions in a P2 only forum, then create one for us to do so. Otherwise, can we please start to get some answers on this theme that Automattic is evidently so proud of?

In reply to: [P2] Default post type as "Blog Post"@chip: then tell wordpress to create a forum specifically for the P2 theme. So far the only thing that distinguishes P2 specific questions is using the tag P2. And BTW, this was originally posted here: http://wordpress.org/tags/p2?forum_id=5

In reply to: P2 titles disappearingWhen using “Blog Post” to post… there is a title field above the text field. But the titles typed there are not carrying over to the post when published. No titles.

In reply to: [P2] Default post type as "Blog Post"Yes, post formats. But from the front end (not regular posting in the admin). There are four choices: Status/Blog/Quote/Link (and the default choice is “Status Update”).
I want to get rid of Status/Quote/Link options and have it as Blog Post at all times.
It seems there should be an option in the theme options with four check boxes allowing people to select which post formats they want available. Those buttons are unnecessary for basic posting (such as was available in older versions of this theme).

In reply to: P2 MembersThis would be nice since. When I got the theme I thought it would allow people to create posts almost the same way as creating comments… and those posts would be moderated in by an admin, almost like a forum.
