In reply to: Headings are missing on the front page!Right on, you’ve got it I think. Now, I have no idea how to fix this though, but it must have something to do with my site needing to be validated with all browsers correct?

In reply to: Headings are missing on the front page!Thank you for all your help esmi,
I have my website back! It seems to still be a mystery about the missing headings though.
My computer (and apparently others) can see everything. My boss’ computer does not show any headings in the center article on the home page, the sidebar and widgets and none of the headers in the footer. Yet it does show the headers of pages.
When I (finally) switched back to the twenty eleven theme it did not show any content (the article and such) that I had on my attention theme. It just said ‘HOME’
Also, someone else we know has the same theme: attention, when viewing his site on my boss’ computer it does the same thing (does not show any of the headings), is this some strange phenomenon?
Again though
Thank you!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Headings are missing on the front page!Well, thank you for your help. I did try your first and third suggestions and I do not think it was that. It may be a problem with the theme but….
I do believe I have a much bigger problem now though. I was promted to update my WP from 3.2.1 to the most recent, before I could switch back to the twenty eleven theme. Whilst upgrading (I did back up my files and database) the upgrade failed and I can no longer log into my WP admin or website.
The reason it failed it said was because of not being able to update a file called : ms-edit? in wp-admin.
How do I try to upgrade again?

In reply to: Headings are missing on the front page!Hello, Cristopher,
Thank you for your time. That is a comfort that you can see them! My boss’ computer is not showing any of the headings on the home page. Also another collegue we have located in another country also does not see them.
Where can I paste the screenshot for you to view?
Thank you!

In reply to: Visble comment thread on Front PageHello,
Yes sorry, I just want the box that I just made on the front page to show some of the last few interesting comments, and to invite others to comment on interesting post articles.
How do I add this in to the html?
Thanks

In reply to: Working on WP site without being liveThank you for this. The documentation is quite helpful. But once I get into it I will probably have 20 more questions.
Hello Newbie2,
Do you want to work on your website before publishing to the world, or just keep your page(s) hidden until final draft?
In our case we don’t want the public to see our site before it is the finished product.

In reply to: Code for html footer.php to add a privacy policy downloadOk I figured it out. I just needed to add this bit of code instead of the [download#14] reference. Here it is in case anyone who wants to do the same, needs it:
So for my example we have our Privacy Policy as a download, remember I have already downloaded the pdf document to the document manager area of my site.
Please read our
<a href='http://yourwebsiteaddress.com/?ym_download_id=corresponding number to your download' title='Privacy Policy'><span style="color: #C3943C;text-decoration: underline;">Privacy Policy</span>If you want to change the color, just add a different hex #.
I think thats it! It worked for me.

In reply to: Google Analytics Code not trackingThese articles were helpful, thanks. Also, now that I added the code into the header.php file it does show up when I view the page source. So I am hoping that it will show some data one of these days. You did answer my question regarding why it would show just one hit!
Thank you
