In reply to: None of resetting url links work. Please helpI’m beyond confused. But thrilled. I’m afraid to touch anything now. Thinking about doing a normal redirect where the http://www.mayanlighgrids.com just forwards to the wp link for now.

In reply to: None of resetting url links work. Please helpMy site is back. I have no idea why. Doing that other install should surely not have caused it. http://mayanlightgrids.com/wp/

http://mayanlightgrids.com When I change things in the wpconfig file it messes up the database.I assume these are the fields I change to match the old wp config

In reply to: None of resetting url links work. Please helpThanks songdogtech. I’d followed those specific directions though. That’s what made me crash for some weird reason. It used to be easy but with my new host something is weird. Its the 2nd time I’ve had this problem. I’m trying a clean install with moving my files over.

In reply to: None of resetting url links work. Please helpUnderstood. After this mess I’ll just put it in the root.
So again to make sure I do this right:
1. Install wp into the root. I assume the old one can stay installed for a bit. Copy my old wp-content directory into the new install.
2. change the wp-config.php file to reference the old database. Never done that but I assume its simple.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: None of resetting url links work. Please helpThanks so much Justin. Could I get some clarity on this? I do a new and 2nd install of WP in the root. (or can I put it in another folder with a different name than the first?) I’m not sure what to do at this point. Do I take my old wp-content from the first install and copy it to the new install? And won’t it create another database?

In reply to: [Simple Shopping Cart] Checkout buttons and alignment questionsI’ll have to get back with you on that. I finished creating the site and set it to direct to the root as my WP is in a folder and it crashed my dashboard and I now can’t get it back up doing everything that “should” work to manually repair it. I’ll post back soon hopefully once I figure it out. If I can’t I just lost a full site. 🙁

In reply to: [Simple Shopping Cart] Number format errorI figure it all out after a couple hours working on it. Cache issues and I also had 2 items with the same name that was causing problems. It’s back to working great!

In reply to: [Simple Shopping Cart] Checkout buttons and alignment questionsI found where to change the shopping cart button. In the pluging images folder. Ü Would still like to align the add to cart buttons though.
I’ve actually decided to start from scratch as I know a lot more how they work now and I had set them up less than efficient before. Lots of work but it’ll be better in the long run. Ü
