In reply to: [JTRT Responsive Tables] Changing the "-" character to " "Hello HantuUK,
Thank you for the suggestion. I do believe it is supposed to display the “+” icon. The icon comes from the footable css, I think something may be interfering with the stylesheets. I will take a look at this in detail, thank you again for the feedback!

In reply to: [JTRT Responsive Tables] imported csv not showing imagesHey Robin,
Sorry for the late response, I’ve been super busy lately.
Anyhow, the issue with html links not displaying is because of footables plugin stripping out html tags. A rather unsanitary solution to this can be found on this page here https://github.com/JohnTendik/jtrt-tables/issues/3
Thanks

The shortcode can be found on the “all tables” page.
Here is a picture showing the location.

In reply to: [JTRT Responsive Tables] SuggestionHi husbandman,
Thank you for using my plugin and offering feedback!
The feature of tables automatically updating when you change the CSV is a great idea, however I think this would take some time to implement because there has to be checks to see if the table columns are the same, otherwise it could cause issues.
Also Shortcodes are already a feature for the plugin, you could simply link a new CSV file, generate your table, update your hidden columns and save the table. If you’re using the shortcode already, you don’t need to copy/paste the html 🙂 I was supposed to release an updated tutorial video for V2 of the plugin but don’t have any time on my hands unfortunately. When I do release the video I will link it here and hopefully it will make it easier to use the plugin.
Thanks again for using my plugin and providing feedback, I really appreciate it!

Hello Lou!
Thanks for using my plugin and providing feedback!
As for your issue, I downloaded your CSV file and did some testing and realized there may be a couple issues with your table.
1. I suspect you may have used a MAC to save your CSV file. for some reason the plugin has issues with converting csv files that are from MACs and unfortunately I cannot test for these errors because I do not own a MAC.
2. You have some unknown characters in your table. I assume that’s a language thing which is upsetting because most unknown characters will not show up on the table.
I have created a short 4 minute video showing you the steps I took in order to properly display your table. You may view the video here: (note its compressed in a zip file hosted on a free hosting site, dont get fooled by all the wrong download buttons!)

In reply to: [JTRT Responsive Tables] Not workingHello creativemedium,
Thank you for using my plugin and providing feedback 🙂
I’m sorry you’ve been having troubles creating tables wihtin the backend. I know you mentioned using a MAC, when it comes to anything related to MACs, its really hard for me to test for them because I don’t have a MAC operating system. Having said that, if you send me a copy of your CSV file I would love to do some testing/troubleshooting from my PC to see if I can get it to work.
Best way to reach me is through GitHub https://github.com/mythirdeye/jtrt-tables/issues
If you post an issue on the github page and include your CSV file I will begin the investigation 🙂
As for the data-type=html issue, have you seen this link? https://github.com/mythirdeye/jtrt-tables/files/102109/555555.zip
Its a 1 minute video showing you how to add the html datatype for the table.
You’re correct, I did mention this will be fixed with an update but lately I’ve been super super busy with work, school, start-up challenges, etc. I barely have any time for personal projects anymore and to be completely honest, I never expected this much popularity with this plugin. I love it, I’d love to improve it for the people using it but it means having to scavenge for free-time which comes once every blue moon 😀
If you run into any more issues, please feel free to contact me through github.
Thanks again for the feedback!
JohnHello garyjhills,
First of all thanks for trying out my plugin!
As for your issue, my best guess as to why that’s happening would be because of the script that converts csv files into html. There could be an issue with you csv file because I’ve created tables with 12+ columns with no issues. An example can be seen on this page: http://www.kwrc.on.ca/2016-frosbite-rally-results/
Having said that, would you mind sending me a copy of your CSV file so I can test it out? it would probably be best if you contacted me through github https://github.com/mythirdeye/jtrt-tables/issues
Thanks
John-edit- I may have misunderstood your issue. Please if you could send me a copy of your csv file I will take a look at it in detail.

In reply to: [JTRT Responsive Tables] CSV ExportHello crystdavis,
Sorry to respond late, wordpress doesn’t email me if there is a support created on this website, it would have been better to contact me via Github.
Aside from that, I’m sorry you’re having issues with this plugin, most of the time the reason why the CSV generated would display all in one line is due to the file format of the CSV. This occurs more often than not on MAC environments so if you’re using a MAC to export your CSVs, please try different CSV formats to see which works best.
I do not have a MAC computer so I cannot test for these conversion errors, however if you continue to have problems with the CSV file, please send me a copy of your CSV file so that I may take a look at it closely.
Thank you

In reply to: [JTRT Responsive Tables] 404 not foundHey Precisionpine,
Thatnks for the comment, Im really glad youre finding my plugin useful.
As for the error, it seems the icons which are supposed to load in aren’t being loaded in correctly or fully. This is interesting, thank you for bringing it up I will take a look at it when I get the chance. Like you said it shouldnt affect the functinality its just a nuisance 🙂
Thank you

In reply to: [JTRT Responsive Tables] How to handle imagesHi rdranson,
Are you still having issues? You can feel free to send me a copy of the csv file you were using and I will be happy to look for a solution, I love problem solving 🙂
As for DonDulin, I have not forgotten about your request 🙂 I was planning on releasing a new version of the plugin almost a month ago but due to school, work, social life, etc I barely had enough time to work on the update. Once I do get the new version out I will be sure to try and include a responsive image styling/option as well.
But for now, I will mark this thread as resolved(for cleanliness). If you guys are still having issues please do contact me, I will do my best to help out.

In reply to: [JTRT Responsive Tables] "Generate Table" Generates ErrorHi drlester,
Just want to check up and make sure everything is working alright for you. Are you still having issues? If so, like I said you can send me a copy of your csv file and I will try and find a fix for it- If its a persistent problem I’m sure it effects more than just one person so more people would benefit from the fix I presume ^^
For now, I would like to mark this thread as resolved for cleanliness. If you are having problems though, please do contact me.
