Sorry Vasyl, what I meant to say was: only allow a capability to be deleted if it was not enabled for any role.
Hi Vasyl,
Maybe you could allow a capability to be deleted only if it does not appear in any role. That way, users would be have to be fairly sure of what they are doing and couldn’t delete one accidentally.

In reply to: [User Role Editor] [Plugin: User Role Editor] Remove CapabilityExcellent Vladimir, that worked great.
My capabilities look so clean now 🙂
Hi Vasyl,
Without changing anything else, after updating to v1.5.7 AAM, if a visitor (frontend) tries to open a post or category, they get the ‘Unauthorized Action’ screen.
After reverting to v1.4 AAM without changing anything else, everything is fine again.
Week view shows but, although event times are correct everywhere else (including text in week view event), events are showing 1 hour later.
It would be nice to set start and end times for week view rather than have most of it taken with out-of-hours times.
Tag count in brackets is incorrect in filter – it may be counting deleted events.
Thanks as always.
Thanks Vasyl. We all love you really and you have given us one of the best wordpress plug-ins available.

In reply to: Delete capabilitiesAnd me!
Use Role Manager only lets you delete capabilities that it has created but in my list of capabilities, there are many obsolete capabilities where plug-in trials, such as MailPress, have not cleaned up properly when deleted.
They don’t do any harm but there are tens of them and they are annoying 🙂
They are all stored in one ‘wp_user_roles’ field in ‘wp_options’ but it is too complicated to edit by hand.
Are you saying that the site crash is because I don’t have a newly required re-direct set-up somewhere after the update? If so, for sure it ought to default to something sensible if it doesn’t exist.
This is a really great plug-in Vasyl, but I feel it has lost its way a bit over the past few months.
I have gone back to v1.4 (I have lost v1.4.1) to keep things running because it is the last stable version I have.

In reply to: Block subscribers from adminHi govpatel,
I appreciate that subscribers only see a reduced admin bar and admin.. but there is no need for them to see anything – just relevant content.
Hi Vasyl,
I just tried this on a test site and the initial problem is solved but I am now seeing:
Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘Unauthorized Action’ in ~\wp-content\plugins\advanced-access-manager\models\mvb_model_configpress.php on line 59
when non-admin users try to open a plug-in section of the admin menu.
Apologies Yani,
I have been using a query to move the same events forward every month for continued testing until I can have filtered calendar for each teacher in a school.
I suspect now that the problem is not with your plug-in but with my database update, which I did at the same time, not handling 2012 properly because reverting now gives the same problem.
I will try to align data and confirm that all is well.
Sorry yes, the upgrade was to v1.2.3
If this is a known fault, I can wait because until shortcodes are available, I can’t use it for real anyway. I am happy to test things and provide links if useful though.
I think you may be missing the point Khairul.
A section is a group of questions to be shown together. Within each section, it is possible to specify the ‘limit’ – that is the number of questions to be displayed in that section.
You can add as many questions as you like to each section and if there are more than the number set by ‘limit’, you can set it to select questions at random.
I think this works well and makes good sense.
Hi RavanH,
It does work once edit_comments is also enabled but it also allows the editor of a post to also moderate the comments on a post by any other editor.
Okay, besides moderate_comments, there is another capability edit_comments which also needed to be set.
