Okay, I got the plugin to activate at this point.
It requires PHP 5.3 or higher.
I got this to work by adding a modifier in the .htaccess file.
* AddType application/x-httpd-php53 .php
Hostgator has PHP 5.2 and PHP 5.3 installed on their servers but your .htaccess file needs to add/call PHP 5.3.
I get the same Fatal Error. I tried deleting/moving the “multilingual-text” via ftp/ activate and still get the error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/public_html/wp-content/plugins/multilingual-text/multilingual-text.php on line 284
Too bad….. hopefully the developer will fix this .
