I simply want to purchase a domain name for my site; leave my whole WordPress blog where it is (files and all); and then use my regular domain name (i.e. example.com) as the URL for my WordPress blog. No moving nothing, no codes, just this is where you find me.
However, since I have sent some links out using the lengthy WordPress blog name (which is from Network Solutions), if people use that original URL, I want them to be able to get to the same place without a problem.
Lastly, my main concern is search engines. If I use the above setup, will the search engines be confused?
