    That particular post is available only in Portuguese and English. Next to the English post, it shows the pen icon for Portuguese. So yes, these are translated and linked.

    Also take for example this one:

    It’s available only in Serbian, no other language. But it’s impossible to even open the post, it just shows the “page not found” page (goes back to the main Serbian page).

    The site was working fine before installing polylang.
    The English posts remain unaffected.

    Yes, many posts are not translated, but that’s not the issue.
    It’s impossible to actually read the posts that have been translated.
    Clicking on them just results in a page not found error (and shows a list of posts).

    That’s what I was doing. The links actually do appear in the hovering footnote, but you can’t get your mouse over to them to click on them before the hovering note disappears. And if you click on the footnote it takes you to the bottom of the page, where the hyperlinks don’t appear. So it’s impossible to click on links in footnotes.
