In reply to: Fatal error on upgrade to 2.8.2Could the plug-ins be the issue with the fact I can’t get WordPress to automatically upgrade? I have noticed since 2.8 has come out that in order to upgrade some of the plug-ins you have to deactivate them to get them to upgrade.

In reply to: Fatal error on upgrade to 2.8.2I can’t even get wordpress to automatically upgrade. It keeps on saying Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.8.2.zip. And, that’s as far as it gets and goes no further.

In reply to: [Plugin: WP Security Scan] wp_ table name issueSorry but that thread doesn’t answer my question. I have been into phpmyadmin and reviewed all the database tables. All the tables in my wordpress database all have wp_ prefix. However, Security Scan says all the tables are wp-. How can that be when they are all reading wp_?
While it is a recommendation, Security Scan also recommended the change of the user login as well. When I changed the user login, the software immediately recognized the change. Why is it not recognizing the change in the table prefixes?

In reply to: 2.8 to 2.8.1 Upgrade yields Blank ScreensI cleared the cache. Shutdown Firefox and reopened Firefox. Content and pics are there. I reactivated the two plug ins and things seem to be working well so far. Cross my fingers.

In reply to: 2.8 to 2.8.1 Upgrade yields Blank ScreensI have cleared the browser cache several times on Firefox. Still the same issues. Last night around midnight (CDT US) I rebooted my computer and the problem went away. This morning I signed onto the admin panel and then to BLVD Status website to see what activity I had overnight and there was none, so I went to see if the site was working and found all the screens blank on Firefox of any content. Tags, dates and headlines appeared in blog posts, but photos and copy gone. Page titles there but copy and photos gone.
Once again this is only on Firefox. Everything seem fine on IE8.0.
The plug ins I deactivated where WP-Cumulus and GD Star Rating. Because they and WP-Polls are the only two active widgets on the site itself all the rest are behind the scenes.

In reply to: 2.8 to 2.8.1 Upgrade yields Blank ScreensI am having the same issue, but the blank screens are only on Firefox not in the admin panel or on Internet Explorer. I am using Atahualpa 3.4 as my theme. I have deactivated two plug-ins,and still content is blank on all the pages. What the heck is going on and how do I fix it?

In reply to: [Plugin: WP Security Scan] Anxious About Changing wp_ PrefixWell all of the plugin prefixes in have a wp_ for example wp_polska. At least they are when reviewing the PHPadmin page.
In attempting to correct an issue with on the plugins they wrote in the message wp_ for the three tables they wanted to make sure where there.
Also, what is the deal with the htaccess file not in the admin folder? Why is that a bad thing? I wondering because it went where 2.7.1 said it wanted to go to when moving the index.php to the root directory.

In reply to: [Plugin: WP Security Scan] Anxious About Changing wp_ PrefixWhy is wp_ a bad thing when all the other plugins are using wp_ for their databases?

In reply to: [Plugin: WP-Polls] Not working in 2.8, nothing happens.@gamerz yes the databases that you mentioned are in present when looking in PHPAdmin. The surveys were present and working well in WordPress 2.8 all until I installed the update to WP Polls through the plugin update.
