In reply to: [MesoColumn] How to remove google analytics code from websiteI am using the google analytics dashboard plugin as well and have noticed that my analytics account is not properly tracking page views. Could this be attributed to the plugin and the issues you mentioned that some other users experience?
I think the issue I’ve discovered using a debugger tool is that there are somehow two tracking codes installed on my page. I did not add any code manually – only through a plugin. Any tips on how to remove the unnecessary tracking code?

In reply to: How to remove password protection from imagesI did use an .xml file to import my content.
Where can I find my .htaccess file? ( <— this is proof of how much I still don’t know about this process)

In reply to: How to remove password protection from imagesOh wow! That’s good to know. I’m surprised that wasn’t specified in the migration directions I followed – I would have never deleted the site. When they give the option to export “all content” I just assumed it would be exporting all of the content.
So what you’re saying is that my domain was still in the process of importing all of the images from the .com server to the new server – that’s not done instantaneously when I did the import? How does one know when all of their images have been imported from the old server. Because I didn’t delete the .com site until about 2 weeks after I migrated to .org.
*Sorry if these are dumb questions – I’ve just started to migrate sites and I’m not well educated in the way everything works.

In reply to: How to remove password protection from imagesYes I did delete the old wordpress which I am strongly regretting right now.
I exported all of the files probably 5 or 6 times to make sure I had everything – that’s why I’m not sure why there are things missing.
But still that doesn’t even make sense (in my amateur understanding) because the photos that are failing to pin to pinterest through tailwind are indeed in my media library on the new wordpress.org site. So it shouldn’t matter that the old site is gone, right?
I still have all of the exported files – is there a way to see where I might have gone wrong?
*Here is another post I found on a forum that relates to my issue as well:
“I found that 9 times out of 10, you probably have a rogue .htaccess file in that directory causing the block. Even if you open the htaccess file and it has no erroneous information in it that would cause the issue, my suggestion would be to rename it to htaccess.txt and retest.”Could this be the issue maybe?

In reply to: How to remove password protection from imagesThat does make sense…
I basically did what you did. right clicked on one of the missing images and opened the link in a new tab. Here is the address the shows up:
https://ruthieridleyblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/12/img_0287.jpeg
This is a link to her old wordpress.com site that we just switched from to wordpress.org. The site no longer exists. I exported everything from the old site and migrated it to the new one (several times). Why would it be linking these photos to her old site or anyone else’s for that matter if they are in her media library?

In reply to: How to remove password protection from imagesHere is a post on the site where the images are missing. But they are present in the media library:

http://ruthieridleyblog.com/raising-these-girls/Below are a couple posts from the site where images are also missing AND they are missing from my media library for some reason but ONE of the images does show up – so to me it’s odd that it pulls one of the photos and the others are just gone (this may be a completely separate issue – I just assume they are most likely linked):

In reply to: How to remove password protection from imagesI did a couple times. This is the response I got:
“So, if I look at your queue I see a lot of broken images. All for the reason that they are password protected- the reason you can see them is because you are logged into to your wordpress account where they are being hosted. As someone who is outside of your wordpress (Like Pinterest or Tailwind) we can’t see those images which means we also don’t have access to them.
If I follow the links to your blog, these images are also broken due to 404 – File not found – which also likely due to the images being password protected. I believe there is a setting or plugin within your wordpress that will allow you to set the privacy settings for your images on your blog. You’ll want to make them public so that readers, search engines. and apps can view your images.”
Not very helpful considering they are not password protected. Is there a plugin I can download possibly?

In reply to: How to remove password protection from imagesIn regards to the credentials – the app has the correct Pinterest credentials. I’m wodering if the issue stems from the fact that I’m pinning directly from the wordpress site –> through a browser extension to the tailwind app –> to the Pinterest board. Maybe there is some miscommunication located somewhere in that process.

In reply to: How to remove password protection from imagesThis is the error message:
From Tailwind App:
“We ran into some trouble trying to publish this pin because the images is password-protected or broken! We know this stinks but your best bet is probably to delete this pin and try re-scheduling it…”*I couldn’t copy it directly from the page because the message only appears when you hover over the alert icon and once you move the cursor, it disappears.
I also tried to post from the Buffer App and this is the error message I receive:
“Pinterest profiles require a sub profile parameter when creating an update”
