No, it will be absolutely fine to use the fire stick and silk browser, many masajid that I know of are using it already. But the fire stick can not be rotated to portrait/vertical mode unless the tv has it.
Please use the ‘Digital screen prayer time’ template to remove all other unwanted WordPress widgets from the digital screen.

The only reason it was not implemented is due to space limitation and because of its name, ‘quick update’.
I was assuming for a detailed update, people will be using the csv upload, which updates the changeset.Forum: Plugins

Unfortunately no, but you can setup a WordPress-multisite to achieve that and link them from the main site.
