In reply to: [Wordfence Security - Firewall, Malware Scan, and Login Security] fb loginHi,
Sorry we don’t support integration with Facebook at this time. What plugin are you using to do this?

Mark.
You’re welcome.

Yes, that’s too short. CHange your PHP.ini file or ask your host to do it – and set the max exec time to 30 and then set Wordfence’s setting to 10. Should fix the issue.

That’s a 404 for me when I try to access the 1000×190.png URL.

Hi,
Yes if you enable the Wordfence Security Network the way it works is that you report any hack attempts to us. Then we aggregate, sort and filter that data and compile a list of IP’s that need to be blocked. Then if you get a hack attempt, your site checks with us (this happens at the same time as when you report the hack attempt to us) and if it’s on the bad list the IP is immediately blocked by your site instead of allowing 3 or 5 or 20 attempts (depending on your settings) before it’s blocked.
So that’s the benefit of being part of the Wordfence Security Network – you are helping build a database of known hacker IPs and you are immediately blocking them when they try to hack you.

Mark.
Hi there,
Kerry will be updating your ticket soon, but apparently this has now been fixed according to our SMS gateway provider (and after chatting to Kerry about it). So go ahead and try it and expect your premium ticket to be updated soon.

Looks like Wordfence is not getting IP addresses correctly. On the Wordfence options page, try setting the “how does wordfence get IP’s” option to the REMOTE_ADDR option.

Hi,
Please log a support call with your hosting provider and tell them you’re receiving a false positive from this file.

Not sure, this sounds like a permissions issue specific to your installation.

I think you’re seeing other errors appearing in the Wordfence activity window. Did this happen once or is it a regular occurrence?

Hi,
Are you switching off live traffic by saving the Wordfence options page? Or using the toggle at the top of Live Traffic view?
Regards,
Mark.
See this page:
Use FTP or CPanel file manager to delete the Wordfence directory which is usually /wp-content/plugins/wordfence

Thanks, I’ll try to fix that issue with Any Mobile Theme Switcher.

Hi,
Please check that you’re running the newest Wordfence. If you are, then this may be a serious issue. Please examine the files for infections.

Mark.
Hi,
I’m not sure what you mean by “lock down”. If you can provide specific features that would help.
We don’t hide the /wp-admin/ URL because we believe that security through obscurity (hiding) is ineffective.
