Bouncer is a WordPress plugin that enables you to make registration requests subject to approval before a new user is created. It might be helpful in a couple of ways when you wish to be selective about your audience. For me, I have an entirely private blog but didn’t feel like creating a new account for each and every friend or family member manually. Now they can do it themselves.

Hence, this plugin is perfect when authentication is required and you don’t want everyone who registers with you to actually log in. For example, if you wanted an entirely private blog, you could use Bouncer in conjunction with something like Angsuman’s Authenticated WordPress Plugin.

If you want this plugin to work, then you need two things as far as I can see. First, WordPress 2.1. I have not done testing on anything else, so I am pretty confident it won’t work. Second, you must run PHP 5 as it will not work with PHP 4.
