  • Hi Andy

No problems at all! I’ve tried the latest release from WordPress.org and the development version. Both report 1.0.0 in WordPress (and in csv-user-import.php), but are 1.0.1 in the readme.

    Thanks

    Hi Andy

    Thanks for your quick reply!

There’s just two lines in the file I’m testing with. You can download it here: http://cooper.co.nz/shared/test3.csv

I get the “Seems to be imported” message.

I’ve tested it on a local MAMP server and on our LAMP VPS, both with WordPress 3.0.1, PHP5 etc.

    Cheers
    Mitch

    Hi Andy

I’m not having any luck either. Running WordPress 3.0.1. CSV file looks like this:

    John,Smith,john.smith,password1,test@domain.com

I’m guessing there might be something wrong with the CSV formatting?

I don’t have a problem with img tags etc, it’s just a WYSIWYG editor would be easier for other people on the team.

Essentially, what I’m looking for is probably a photo gallery product that allows the display of more than just one field as a caption, and for each field to be formatted differently.

There’s two layouts which I’m deciding between:

    1. This is probably preferred, 3 columns and as many rows as required – displaying for each staff members their image, their name, position, contact number and a button to send them an email/perhaps more info.

    2. The more traditional method of 2 columns, with the image in the left and the title, contact details, perhaps description all in the right.

The second option can be done relatively easily from within WP-Tables although it may be the case that it’s easier to build the page in HTML/CSS and create a page template and just have changes emailed to me so I can manually update the page..

Sorry for the double-post, not sure how to edit!

I’ve given WP-table a go, it’s a good plugin but unfortunately it requires the use of tags such as <img> and BR which I’m worried will overly complicate things.

I suppose a gallery-esque plugin could work.. I’ve just had trouble finding one that allows for the level of ‘captioning’ that would be required.

Thanks for the help so far though!

    Definitely look worth a look.

Hopefully it is configurable enough – needs to laid out as a “profile page” so to speak.

Cheers for the help – will give it a shot tonight and let you know how I get on.
