In reply to: Adding Media to WordPressI’ve been able to copy the URL to the “insert from URL” box, clicked install, and the code shows on the page, but that’s it. Code, no image. Nor does it appear in the Media Library

I enabled the home page. However, I want a sidebar on the front page only. I didn’t see how to do that.

I like the iribbon theme layout but not the banner. Also, I don’t understand all the language below. I’m only looking for 3 widgets – I don’t see that in the list of Elements.

In reply to: Widgets and sidebarsI started with the basic WP “responsive” theme, then tried some others, but I still must be doing something wrong. What I’m looking for is a simple home page with 3 widgets at the bottom and 1 sidebar with maybe 3 widgets. I’m new to all of this and don’t really know the lingo when it comes to searching for a theme. There are so many to choose from.
