I have this same problem. Since I can’t find a solution I can understand, I’ve had to deactivate Jetpack and I really miss it. What can be done?

(I’m using Twenty Twelve (ver. 1.1) theme and WordPress version 3.5)

With your answer here (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/remove-purchase-confirmation-from-the-menu-bar?replies=2#post-3288043) on how to choose what menu items I want to appear, I was already able to make my download page appear.

Thanks so much for this plugin and for answering all my questions! I’m so glad I found it!
