    Tooltips looks good if you want text displayed when you hover over object.

    Lightboxes appear to be what I need as I want the user to click on an image to display the box which will stay there till the box is closed. The problem is lightboxes work great and easy if displaying images but I need to display formatted text.

    Not sure that is exactly what I am looking for.
    If you go to the site http://steepleclaydonpostoffice.co.uk and click on the postbox, that is what I want to do but for several different images.

    Don’t know what happened but I didn’t do the step disable all my plugins and leave Twenty Fifteen as the active theme. Seeing your second message I just went back to the Vantage theme and everything is working OK. Thanks again for your effort and patience if you have no further comments to make I will mark this thread resolved.

    I changed theme to Twenty Fifteen but now I have no menu options at all

    I could but when I try now I just get the message

    I’m sure it will be a red herring but just in case it’s not the last thing I did whilst it was still running successfully was to go to google+ and take ownership of the site there which promoted my site to the top of the list when searcging steeple claydon post office.

    I can’t contact my supplier till tomorrow but I have finally managed to download my .htaccess file (Very new to this).

    This is all it contained.

    DirectoryIndex index.php index.htm index.html
    # BEGIN WordPress

    # END WordPress

    What would you expect to see there?

    I removed my existing popup and hey presto the option to add a new one reappeared. As soon as I added it back again it disappeared so I am guessing it only allows a single popup unless you purchase the pro edition. Doesn’t seem to say this.

    All I am looking to do is have some pictures/text that user can click on and a smaller window will open up giving further information. Anyone got a good suggestion?
