again an update on this item.
Found an entry in config.php causing the problem
define (‘WPLANG’, ‘nl_NL’);
Obvious something wrong in that area.

reinstalled wordpress on http://foto.mignonpad.nl and it’s running now.
Don’t know what caused it but during the install I gave the MySQL account root access and also I found that the index.php and/or default.php where nog added to the documents list on the server.
Same problem. Installed WordPress on Windows 2003 with PHP 5.0.5 and MySQL 5.0
Installation wend just fine. I could browse around in the admin part but as a normal user (visitor) all I get is a blank screen. With nothing in it:
