In reply to: Site Automatically shares to Twitter even after I turn it offIt’s confirmed – it’s a Jetpack glitch. I deactivated JetPack yesterday and my posts didn’t show up on Twitter. I activated it again today, and suddenly, I’m auto-posting to Twitter again. Is there any other way to de-link my Twitter account, since on the dashboard it shows I’m not connected?
Thanks…!

In reply to: Site Automatically shares to Twitter even after I turn it offThanks Grey Parrots. Last question: is it possible for a widget (Jetpack or any other) to have an effect on your site even after it’s disabled? That is, do widgets write code into some permanent files that even after you disable them, sometimes the code stays?
If so, what can one do to erase their effects forever?

In reply to: Site Automatically shares to Twitter even after I turn it offOK, I’ve gone back and carefully checked my theme (“X”, from themco) settings and it does not have an auto social share function.
I’m thinking it might be a glitch from the Jetpack plugin – once upon a time, I did set an auto-post for Twitter. After I turned it off, it kept going. I am hoping that by disabling JetPack it goes away forever.

In reply to: Site Automatically shares to Twitter even after I turn it offHey Grey Parrot,
Thanks – the only plugin with auto social share capabilities that I have is JetPack, which I have checked and everything is off. Still, I’ve disabled it. Let’s see if it keeps happening on tomorrow’s posts.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Simple Share Buttons Adder] How change font of Share text?Oh, I see. There is a second tab of options. And a third. I knew it was a stupid question.
Resolved, and thanks anyways for the great plugin! In fact it is such a great plugin I donated $15 a few months back. Thanks David!
