I’m doing a fresh install now and will go from there. Thanks for your help! I have my fingers crossed.
That will definitely help with the database portion. I assume that my steps are as follows:
1. Install a fresh database and fresh install of WP.
2. Dump my old database into the new using the above steps.
And then everything will magically show up where it is supposed to?
I wish I’d had the foresight to export all my posts and such. I was hoping that was stored in the database. Is it not? I pretty much just have the actual file folders as I copied them from the old host onto my hard drive. No official export file. 🙁 Will that make a difference?
