sorry, perhaps I did not express myself clearly but I clicked the publish button.I try to explain the process:
When I make changes to the slider, I can see the “publish” button with a yellow outline and a yellow dot. By clicking on that button I see the popup with a blue button called “publish changes”. Clicking on that button the system shows up with a message “all changes are published” and a green dot.
A few seconds later, it changes back to “You have unpublished changes”.
Clicking again, it seem to be published but the message on the frontend shows up with the message “Slider is not published yet and saved as draft”.For debugging I disabled all plugins and switched back to the default theme but that did not solve the issue.
I think I made the correct steps but it’s not woking.

thank you for having a look.
I was able to solve it temporarily by just saving each entry again.
Now (a few days later) the entries shown up twice again.
I updated to the latest version 5.15.5 but that did not solve the issue.

I already read the article before but it did not solve the issue.
The event date makes weird things that I can not retrace.
I try to describe it on the behavior of a particular event:Event Setup:
Event Date: 15.5. to 28.6.
Recurring Event: 11.7. to 31.10.Event listing page shows 15.5. to 28.6. (CORRECT)
Event detail page shows 11.7. to 24.8. (WRONG) and recurring event 11.7. to 31.10. (CORRECT)
URL of the detail page ?occurrence=2020-05-15 (CORRECT)
Event detail page of the recurring event shows 11.7. to 24.8. (WRONG)
URL of the recurring detail page ?occurrence=2020-07-11 (CORRECT)The initial span from start to end is 15.5 to 28.6. (44 days)
The recurring event (11.7. to 31.10) only shows 44 days from start of the recurring event. That is 24.8. (!) and not the end date of the recurring event (31.10.)
