In reply to: Plugins for DummiesDid you upload the folder for the plugin from your pc into the plugin folder on your web server? Just copy the whole folder into the plugins folder. Then you should be able to see it and activate it through the WP admin.

In reply to: Menu links stopped working – getting 404I changed my permalink setting to default fro custom and now the menu works again. Don’t know why it stopped working. I think maybe I am having issues with .htaccess. Read about that here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/243954?replies=9

In reply to: 500 ERRORSFWIW, my problem is in the permalinks. I had it set to a custom permalink. When I changed it to one of the defaults the menu links worked again. I don’t know why it worked up until today, though. I think I need an .htaccess file, which I managed to create, but could not figure out how to set permissions for it through GoDayddy,. May call about that tomorrow.
In the meantime, maybe .htaccess if part of your issue? Read about it here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/243954?replies=9
