I have the same problem when creating new post.
After a while when creating the post the Save as draft button goes grey.
Luckily however the autosave option takes care of saving the work (+ on top of that, to be sure, I take an extra copy now as html to text file, but haven’t had to use them yet).
When I go back to edit the Save as draft is visible a short time.
So I try to enter data for SEO and Some and I’m even able to press Save as draft.
At that point “the path of action” takes me to my site, not editing, but as a viewer.
When I then go back to editing, the updates to SEO and Some have vanished.
So what I have to do is to first publish the post and after that edit these parts (at least for one post this worked).
I don’t have multisite or anything, just one independent travel blog.
