If your intent was to be rude, then you have NO business being a moderator. And, by the way, your instructions did not work well. My site went down… KAPUT! I fixed it, thankfully, without you.

If you want to help people, you must understand that people are not robots… nor can they read YOUR mind and understand the background knowledge that you apparently possess. You cannot ASSUME that people are just going to delete “all” of their files, without some sort of confidence about the fact that their site won’t be destroyed.

I wrote about my personal life because I felt you needed to know how much my blog meant to me and how new to it I was. I don’t need or want YOUR sympathy… but, I wanted you to understand how your RUDENESS affected me.

My “mother tounge” is English… and believe me… I would never use that beautiful language to INSULT or BERATE others as you have. Just because you are apparently well versed in something does not give you the right to belittle the minds of others. I’m an expert in another field and if I spoke to people the way that you did, I wouldn’t have retained clients or a job. People who don’t understand my area of expertise need it explained to them on their level and in a way that makes them feel confident.

Lastly, people go to the forums because they need help. If they were experts, naturally, they wouldn’t go there. I went there as a last resort because there is no other help options available with WordPress. As such, now that I know that your insults were intentional, I plan on finding a way of contacting WP and letting them know about this incident.

Afterall, MOSHU, human kindness is what brings peace and unity to this world. You should work on that area of your so-called EXPERTISE.

You know… I am beginner. I’ve only been blogging since August of this year and I knew absolutely nothing about blogging until August. I’m doing the best that I can, and considering my readership in just 4 months, I feel really good about it.

I wasn’t trying to be difficult, I just wanted to make sure. The reason is that I’ve had my website go completely down, courtesy of GoDaddy’s instructions, and I had to wait for a server restore even to get back what I got.

I don’t want to be in the “ghost” subdirectory, at all. They can’t help me solve it.

I’ve been unemployeed for 7 months.. the first time in 23 years. I’m a single mom and this is the only thing that makes me feel good about myself. I wasn’t trying to be a pain in the ass… I was just scared about moving forward with directions that I didn’t completely understand the implications of.

I appreciate your help so much. However, you have also hurt my feelings. Sorry to disturb you.

Got them saved on my computer. Are you suggesting that I load them up and copy over the existing files with the same names in the existing directory where WP 2.6 is currently installed?

Are there any concerns with my existing themes, plug-ins, etc.?

I know how to upload via FTP. But, where do I get the core WP files from that you are recommending I upload?

Well, wp-load.php is there. Still the error:
