On the other hand, the Ad on your website is not related with the WPDB plugin. You may reach out on the theme support or theme author regarding the ad below the page.

Thanks for the update. I tried reproducing the issue on my local website and is indeed the add block button on the bottom right side is gone missing when editing on GeneratePress theme. We have now relayed this to our development team to fix the issue.
We will let you know once we found a fix for this issue.
