Not sure what you mean. Are you saying that you want some white space above the masthead div? Or are you trying to move the site-header-main div lower inside the masthead div?
Solution was emailed to me by a helpful forums user within hours of my post!
Added to styles.css:
.header-image img {
width: 20%;
}
