1.) I’m using the free version of the theme and ignored/didn’t know there was a pay one.
2.) I noted in the post above I’m a beginner. Those of us who are not in the field cannot distinguish between which themes are made by which companies. It all looks WordPress-ish to us neophytes.

I didn’t think a free theme was “commercial” (I didn’t pay for it). The rules ’round these parts are fascinatingly circuitous.
