I don’t remember exactly as its been a long time & haven’t changed any of the settings in the recent past as well. It’s been working fine.
And now the plugin is deactivated & if i try to activate it, it just gives me 127.0.0.1
Whats the way out now? How do i resolve this?

Yes, it seems you are right about WP Super Cache not working. I checked the page source & couldn’t find it.
I switched ON Inline & defer CSS without using ‘Above the fold” because i dont know how to use it. Am not a developer myself, but have learnt so many things. Somehow i shall figure this out too.
Removed the Picture Nature.jpg… not being used effectively.
As for JS, again, since am not a developer, will really have to figure out which JS are you talking about & then learn how to remove them. Not sure though, but is it possible for you to point out at least one instance of JS thats slowing down. I will figure out the rest.
