In reply to: Not able to upload Custom Image HeaderNow another problem. I took your advice and uploaded an image and tried to insert it into a post. The only way I could figure how to do that was to click the little green icon(that says insert/edit image when you run your cursor over it)
It then brings up a little box that asks for a Image URL and I did that the best I can, based on what I see on my host server:Directory Tree: root /public_html /wp-content /themes /default /images
Using this guide, I did the following:
http://www.mydomain.com/root/public_html/wp-content/themes/default/images/myimage.jpgDid I do something wrong?
Thanks again for your help.

In reply to: Not able to upload Custom Image HeaderIt has a theme folder. Inside is a default folder for the kubrick theme.
In that folder is an images folder that has a bunch of .jpg images, seven that I count. Do you see kubrickheader.jpg? Can you load your own pic there?That worked. Thanks Phil-ip for the post – I’ll check your tutorial.
Now that the custom image header is installed, how do I install other images for my blog pages?
Everytime I’m in the “write post” section and go the “add media” options and click on the “add an image” icon, I then proceed to try and upload an image out of my hard drive. It then goes into “crunching” mode and I always wind up with the following error message:
Unable to create directory/home/a7775612/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2008/05. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
What am I doing wrong?

In reply to: Not able to upload Custom Image HeaderI tried changing and uploading my header’s name to kubrickheader.jpg and I uploaded it but I still get only the text header.
I just switched over to http://www.000webhost.com as my webhost and they say to upload all graphics:
.You must upload Your files to /public_html/ folder. Do not forget that public_html folder must contain file called index.html or index.php
They don’t mention any specific image folder, as you mentioned in your reply.
What confuses me is when I had my blog on a subdomain at http://www.wordpress.org, with Kubrick(and several other templates I sampled), under My Dashboard, I click on the DESIGN option and I get the following suboptions:
* Themes
* Widgets
* Extras
* Custom Image Header
* Color Header
* Edit CSSThe “Custom Image Header” is NOT an option with Kubrick(or the basic WordPress Template) that came when I had a WordPress.org volunteer install WordPress on my own domain. Thus, I haven’t a clue on how to get my custom Image Header installed.
I also had no trouble uploading other images on my wordpress.com subdomain, but using the same upload images option on my own domain, it rejects them with some error messages.
