thank you for the explanation.
My primary issue was to hide sidebar menu items conditionally and automatically by category and the only way I was able to do is with a post list.
Anyway, I will try something else.

I have already done what you describe: I put “latest post” widget in but it can not be edited with colors or style.
My question was if in this widget I could change font style for the item related to a displayed page, adding css lines.example:
if “In programma” post page is displayed, then the sidebar looks like this:
