The plugin works. I can see the highlight code #FF0000 is there. (http://i60.tinypic.com/2z8npcj.png)Please check if the shortcode used without the highlight color. It might overrule he default setting.

String length is exactly one of the things I prepared for to add. Sadly enough I don’t have a lot of time lately.
As soon as I can I will add this.
I’m not sure about widgets. It is possible to add the shortcode in a widget.

I changed the coloring from CSS to the Nevobo Feed settings. I’ll be adding more features soon.
