I managed!!
It was easier than I thought!!Thank you so much 🙂
Hello Alin Marcu,
thanks for your prompt answer.I am not understanding your points above as I have difficulties understanding the meaning of your wordings as I am still very beginner in website world and not English mother tongue
I am not understanding what you mean with “same property” and “change the website URL in my property settings” in you #1 option.
Ideally I would like to be able to follow my statistics on my WP dashboard without going to my Google Account so I am aiming to do #1 as far as I understood. Can you please tell me the steps i need to take?
The website URL of the new website will be the same as the current one and so the permalinks.
At the moment I managed to move my local website in a subdomain test environment online as it was my first time doing that; the host support told me that to move my test website into my maindomain.com i will need to destroy my current application under the main domain and then move the subdomain into my main domain, so my Authorised Google Analytic Plugin will be destroyed as well.
In the test/subdomain administration panel, the Google Analytic plugin is there and shows both the “Plugin Authorisation button” as required when initially installing the plugging (that i did on the live site months ago) and a <<Debugging Data >> with error as when i moved all the data to local server, the plugging was not able to update as it was off line.
Hopefully i was able to explain in more details my scenario and why I am stuck!!
Any further help will be appreciated!!
Thanks
Thanks Beefstick for your hint!!
Indeed you understood properly 🙂 I was trying to insert the php changes in the stylesheet as I did not clearly understand how a child theme worked 🙂
I did add the content.php sheet to my child theme and it works!!Thank you
..

I did not notice the note at the beginning of the tutorial :)!!I did it as you suggested and it worked!!
Thank you so much!!!
