No need to be temperamental. Other users and I simply asked if you could offer help making your plugin work with whatever theme we already had. Since I didn’t hear back in a reasonable time, which, by WordPress developer standards, is less than 48 hours, I installed WordPress WP-o-Matic instead. That works with my theme—evidently my theme is “standard” enough that other, out-of-the-box plugins can interface with it. It appears the authors of these themes just took the time to ensure their products work with more than just the standard WordPress theme. No magic here.

If you want positive credit for developing open-source software, then you also must accept negative credit when your product doesn’t work as advertised, especially if the reason it doesn’t work is because you lack the resources to ensure it does. If you don’t want to accept responsibility for essentially what is inadequate debugging, then you should add a disclaimer letting people know that your plugin is only compatible with the Twenty Eleven theme that no one uses or at least letting people know that you’ve not done rigorous compatibility testing.

I’ll follow up on this with a screenshot of the problem when I find the time to help you improve your product.
