I contacted my hosts and I don’t know if they changed anything.
When I logged in with the removed FS_METHOD it was the same ( http://prntscr.com/8avgwo )
I checked the Master Slider Pro and the automatic update feature was disabled. I deleted the Master Pro Slider and everything worked. I then updated everything and reinstalled it and I am up and going again.

If the resetting of the file permissions does not work I have a week old ‘BackUpWordPress’ do you think if I uploaded that over the existing files and replaced the database in myPHPadmin that would fix it?
What is the one thing? If it is simple I am happy to do it, if not I would be grateful for you to fix it.
No it doesn’t work. Nothing I have tried seems to work. I wonder if something has corrupted. However when I reupload wp-admin and wp-includes it still does not fix it.
Also if I remove “define(‘FS_METHOD’, ‘direct’);” from the wp-config file
it goes back to this screen: http://prntscr.com/8avgwoIf the wp-config file has “define(‘FS_METHOD’, ‘direct’);” everything seems to work except the updating of plugins, themes and wordpress.

Inactive: http://prntscr.com/8bazo7This whole problem started when I tried to add Contact Form 7 CAPTCHA plugin to the Contact Form 7 plugin. I followed the instructions with in WP-admin but something went wrong and since then everything has been like it is now.
In my attempt to fix this I removed the Contact Form 7 from my plugins folder using ftp. That is why it does not show on the active and inactive image above.

I have been stumped on this for a few days now and really do need a resolution.

I really appreciate your reply. I changed the permissions and cleared the cache , but unfortunately it did not work.
