In reply to: [Image and video gallery from Google Drive] AwesomeHi, that’s great to hear, thanks for the review!
Hi, that’s great knowing it worked. The documentation is a bit outdated, that’s true…

Hi,
hmm, I am not really sure where the problem is.. Could you please check that you have copied and saved everything to & from the Google Console? So upon clicking “Grant Permission” it redirects you to Google, you login, accept and then a blank page? Could you please send me the full URL? Either here or at developer@dedic.eu if you don’t want to post it publicly…
Thanks,

Hi,
yes, this is an issue we are working on now. In the meantime, please look at the documentation for some ways to get around this.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Image and video gallery from Google Drive] Remove the title “Gallery”Hi, it can’t really be optional – turning it off makes no sense, as the user would then be unable to get out of a sub-directory…
It is translatable, if your WordPress installation is in a different language and there is an available translation for this plugin, it will be translated.
If you really want to hide it (a bad idea in my opinion), use the
.sgdg-gallery-container > div:not(.sgdg-gallery)selectorMarek

In reply to: [Image and video gallery from Google Drive] Remove the title “Gallery”Hi, that text is part of the directory navigation. It should be hidden if your gallery contains no directories.

In reply to: [Image and video gallery from Google Drive] Gallery button failsHi,
I’d take that up with the developers of Divi – we support the classic editor as provided by the core WordPress team. If they are messing with it and breaking other plugins, that’s a problem caused by them and thus should be solved by them. However, I still recommend using the block editor as the best option – any other way of using this plugin is basically on “life support” and I suspect that would be the case for most plugins nowadays.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Image and video gallery from Google Drive] Gallery button failsHi,
I finally got to investigating this… However, it works fine for me.I’m using the “Classic Editor” plugin… Can you verify you’re using the same, you have latest WP and the latest plugin and the issue is still present please?
Thanks,
MarekHi,
yes, if you add a folder, all the photos will be displayed. You can’t select specific files. If you want to add singular hand-picked images to your articles, I think you’d be better off using regular WordPress media. (We would like to implement importing specific images into WP media from Google Drive, but it’s not implemented yet).Marek
Hi,
that’s the intended behaviour – photos aren’t shown on backend for efficiency, but when you add a gallery, they’ll be there on the frontend…Marek

In reply to: [Image and video gallery from Google Drive] Show video file namesThe description isn’t a property of the video file, rather a property of the file on G Drive. You can add it by opening the video and clicking on “Details”.

In reply to: [Image and video gallery from Google Drive] Show video file namesHi,
well, ok, I can see a use case where this might be useful. As for the field to be used – e.g. for image captions we use the
descriptionfield of the file, so probably that.In the end, it boils down to the same as https://wordpress.org/support/topic/display-captions-2/ – we’d be open to this if someone made a pull request, but currently with our limited resources, it’s not a priority for us to implement this (we have more pressing stuff to implement).
