If you simply want another internal page like the about page, WordPress is already set up to do that. Just “Write” a new page. Just like writing a new post, but you choose page instead of post.
I would also like to know about this. It seems to me that there is some interest in this area (selecting different themes for pages), but no one has figured out how to do it. Or, the ones that know how to do it aren’t interested.
