I am having the same problem, with the same host provider (dreampress from dreamhost) with a child theme too, but in my case I am using Kleo theme.
I am using bbpress + buddypress + some other plugins related to this, and I only found this problem in the backend, but never in the frontend.
The main problem is when I want to click in core-update link or plugins update link.
I don´t know how to solve it.

I installed today this plugin, but the translation itself and Vertizio solutions are not working for me.
I hope it could be fixed soon.

Thanks seventhqueen! It seems that everything is working fine.
+1 for the Dannypid1 comment. It is not working for groups (option disappeared in setting), it is working only for members.
