In reply to: Image upload error messagezoonini, thank you this post totally helped me and it was a permissions issue. I was going through my host database rather than the fpt. And that solved it. Not perfect but everythig works for now. Thx.

The upload/insert buttons do not work when I am adding an image to a new post and I get this error message…when I try to upload through the media library…
“name.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
The uploaded file could not be moved to /var/www/vhosts/mangocrash.com/httpdocs/blog/wp-content/uploads.Any ideas would be so appreciated.

You both helped me so much get my blog back up and running. Thank you!
One last minor question if you don’t mind.When I try to upload a new photo I get an error message saying wp cannot create the directory and is it’s parent directory writable by the server? Any ideas how I should fix this would be greatly appriciated. Thank you.

In reply to: Not able to access admin page please helpOkay great. I think I’m making progress. I had to upgrade my server plan because I had over shot my database usage. Once I get the new plan configured it should be running PHP 4 automatically. I just need to make sure I copy everything over safely. Thanks so much!

In reply to: Not able to access admin page please helpI did make a back up of the blog before upgrading. I have ftp copied the back up version back over hoping I could get back to the admin page
and no luck.I’m ready to move forward again with the upgrade to 3.0.4 again and now that I’m reading the requirements I don’t think I have the current php or MySQL versions.
Upgrading these is getting beyond my web experience. I’ll keep researching, but does that sound possible? That I need to make these upgrades? and is it really complicated?
