I had the same problem. It seems that if you save the template when editing in HTML mode, it may reject the save and replace your html with “null”.
Try saving in “visual” mode – it solved the problem for me.
I’m having the same issue. The plugin works well but if I do any editing, the “box index” and “box width” parameters get lost and the boxes show up vertically instead of horizontally.
This can happen to all boxes if I edit just one. It has happened when I’ve edited the page where the boxer shortcode is placed.
Last might, I went to bed with everything working and this morning, the boxes had lost these two parameters again.
Any thoughts on what’s causing this?

I figured it out.
The “start new row” feature wasn’t compatible with the theme I was using (responsive theme). I changed themes and all is working perfectly.
