you can reproduce the bug with Twenty Sixteen + WooCommerce. I added my API keys and then selected a default list for new users.

in fact I was thinking about adding aria-hidden=”true” as you can see in sample code provide on FontAwesome: http://fontawesome.io/icon/blind/

it works when adding the widget but I don’t want this. The scroll announcements is used just after a home slider… Before the update I was able to use PHP function without any trouble. If it can’t be possible now, could you give me a link to the previous version?
