Thank you – read the Permalinks page and called my host. Using Windows Server, not Linux, so I can’t get the “Pretty Permalinks” because there’s no Apache on the Windows server.
The “Not so Pretty Permalinks” do work, however.

OK, I figured it out….THANKS for sending me off to Google because after some reading, realized that somewhere within my hosting and web options, I had to “tell” my site that other index.xxx pages were ok.
Once I added index.php, all is well!
Reinstalled everything and generated a new password.
