In reply to: WordPress Sites don't generate traffic!?The guy that is so good with his opinions on WP should focus on his own site. After two decades in the industry he has managed to get a PR 3 site with 47 indexed pages as far as I can tell.
The point he claims as facts is total BOLLOX
And your client, if they left WP to go to this ”guy”, well, they deserve what they get
Good riddance is what I say 😀

In reply to: Writer location mapIn the meta data for the author you should be able to get the IP address. Convert the IP to lat long, and add to google maps or similar.

In reply to: Do I have too many ads? (Also, site review please!)Users will react different ways to advertising I find. Some like ads, some browse by ads and some just hate ads. And your site topic with the user behavior without ads, and then the effect after you set the ads up can easily be compared.
If you check how your analytics are affected, in comparison with a potential increase in revenue, you should be able to make a decision that would find the right balance.Forum: Your WordPress
In reply to: First crack at WordPressNice Site. The header text on the homepage WELCOME TO …. in my mind is ”off balance” and creates some white space which I would have used I think. And on this url http://www.elm-lodge.org.uk/weddings-events/recommended-services/ which is super, but also some white space which I would maybe use better.
But overall the site looks nice and polished and I bet the website owners must be super impressed in comparison with the old version 🙂We have been working on some new map plugins for WordPress and are getting ready to release this and a couple of new ones over the next year.
The first being finalized is a Universal Map Tab that works with any WP theme.

The plugin option allows you to select the address field, and continue to geocode the addresses as the urls are viewed adding new fields for latitude and longitude coordinates. We are testing a multiple pin map add on, with shortcode to allow you to place effortlessly multiple specific pins on a Google Map within any specific post or page by id.
Just finishing a test site now with the first ”output” on, and will surely share the link here when its published

Bummer you have to buy the premium theme for it to work in wordpress. 🙁Hey, sure you can mod this plugin to make what you want.
I found the fetch meta plugin on a wordpress directory site, and it fetches the meta data to add as the SEO fields when submitting urls. It’s free as well, so you can propably change it to just populate the tags.
