Hello,
We have updated the strings to make it translatable in our recent update.
You can change the currency position from the Global Settings > Payments > Currency and Currency Position option. As for date format, there is no option right now but we can provide filter hook to customize it.

AashilHi @sulfsby,
Thanks for the update and for confirming the previous issue
Since you’re now seeing the message “We were unable to process your order, please try again.” in Stripe Test mode, it usually means the payment request is not being completed successfully on Stripe’s side.
To help us better diagnose the issue, could you please provide a screen recording showing the complete steps leading to the error? This will allow us to pinpoint the exact cause more quickly.

AashilHello @gnwysiwyg
Thanks for reporting, we will check the untranslated strings from our side and if found will make them translatable in our coming updates.

AashilHello @derlehre ,
Can you please share us screenshots of the issue so that we can investigate better?

AashilHi there,
This usually happens when the Stripe webhook is not set up correctly or is not responding back to the site.
As you mentioned, the order status in Masteriyo is showing as Pending. That means the payment confirmation has not been received from Stripe via webhook. The “success” message you see after payment is coming directly from Stripe’s checkout page, but Masteriyo relies on the webhook response to mark the order as Completed and enroll the student automatically.
Since you are testing in Sandbox mode, please make sure of the following:
- You are logged into your Stripe Sandbox (test) account, not your live business account.
- Check inside the Developers → Webhooks section in your test account.
- Confirm that the Masteriyo webhook URL is added there correctly.
Make sure all the required events are selected when creating the webhook (especially payment-related events like checkout.session.completed, payment_intent.succeeded, etc.).
Also, you mentioned there is no record of the test purchases in Stripe, this strongly suggests you might be viewing the Live account instead of the Test (Sandbox) account. Once the webhook is properly configured and responding successfully, the order status will change from Pending to Completed, and the course will appear under Your Courses automatically.

AashilHi lellolallo,
Yes, our current workflow is primarily designed around paid course distribution, which is why some steps may feel more sales-oriented than what you’d expect for an internal HR training setup.
That said, we do understand the need for mandatory company training with a free internal catalog, and we’re planning enhancements to make this workflow more streamlined for non-commerce use cases in future updates of Masteriyo. Options you can use today are:
- Manual group enrollment (HR-driven workflow): HR/Admin can create Groups (Teams), assign a Group Leader, and set the seat limit.
The Group Leader can then add members within that limit, which fits well with an org-chart-based structure. - Manual course enrollment: Courses can be assigned directly to users or groups without any purchase flow, making it suitable for mandatory training.
- Private courses (internal catalog): You can set courses as Private, so they won’t appear in the public course catalog. Only enrolled users will be able to access them, which works well for internal-only training programs.
We truly appreciate your detailed feedback, it’s very helpful as we continue improving the platform for HR-centric training scenarios.
Best regards,
